I started about a year and a half ago (2017) when I was going to go visit my sister in the Florida Keys and thought: what better time than now! So my first photo is of Key West, literally 5 days before we were evacuated due to hurricane Irma.
My photos are travel focussed. They’re about the destinations, the stories behind the photos, the experiences, recommendations, etc. I sometimes feature in my photos but the star of the show is always the destination.
So many! Cambridge is one of the most picturesque cities I’ve ever been to and have had the fortune to live in. I love the historic colleges, the parks, the independent coffee shops. Also the walk to Granchester through the meadows is a great way to spend an afternoon.
I love all types of photography and follow many accounts that aren’t the same style as mine. My photos are very colourful, but I love accounts that are more moody or even black and white. I get inspiration from many sources!
I love taking photos with my phone, but mostly videos. I think that videos can give a different dimension and a better feel for a place so I love to complement my photography with edited videos, I’m still learning but love doing it on my phone and on the go!
Lightroom is my #1 ultimate app that I use for everything. Also Snapseed, VSCO, SkyLab, Retouch, LightDistortion. For video editing on the go, I love VideoLeap or iMovie. For making fun and aesthetic IG stories Unfold is my go to, but also Over, Canva and Mojo.
You don’t need expensive equipment to take great photos! My gallery is a mix between mobile and camera, and you can’t tell the difference. Editing is, along with composition, the most important step in my opinion. If you have a good eye for composition and angles, paired with great editing skills, you can take photos with any device and have great results! Just be creative and enjoy the process.
